David Paul suffered a rare loss as Todd Stewart struck like a thief in the night, to take the prize of game 4 (of our third series of games—4 rounds per series) for the 15 minute Freebird Trophy. Next Wednesday begins the first series (from five over the year) of 6 rounds in our Blitz Trophy.

Congratulations to David Paul who easily wins the John Kingston Memorial Trophy. Next game in our competition will be the third round in our Freebird Trophy.

Round 6 of the John Kingston Memorial Trophy was played and David Paul leads the field by one and half points with 2 rounds to go. Next Wednesday—following Easter—we have four rounds towards our 15 minute each Freebird Trophy. Some Club subs are still due—these should have been paid by in March.

After 2 rounds of the John Kingston Memorial Trophy the lead is shared by Glenys Mills, Todd Stewart and David Paul. It’s early days yet and there’s a lot more water to flow under the bridge with 6 more rounds to be played in this 8 round Tournament.
David Paul in his AGM Club Captain’s Report mentions an idea regarding changing our meeting night from Wednesday night to Tuesday. I would like to throw this out for discussion so please email me with your comments (which I will forward to all email capable members) and will also follow up with face-to-face discussion. -
